Motor Insurance Database
It is a requirement under the 4th EU Directive, which came into force in January 2003, that all Fleet and Motor Trade policyholder’s update the national Motor Insurance Database, which is managed by the Motor Insurer’s Information Centre, with the relevant details of all vehicles in their custody or control.

As your insurer we can offer assistance with regards to this matter, as following.
Option 1) – Each time there is a change to your schedule of vehicles you will need to notify us immediately of the details and we will arrange for the database to be updated on your behalf.
Option 2) – You can request from us the appropriate security codes to access the Database online, which would then mean you can make the necessary changes to the Database yourself, as they occur.
We must advise, however, that whichever option is chosen it is also still necessary to advise your insurance intermediary of any changes so that your insurance policy can also be amended.
