We are far from being just a mainstream private car insurer. We insure just about every type of motor vehicle, from moped to articulated lorry and from classic car to coach.
We are equally adept arranging bespoke cover for a fleet of 1,000 vehicles with a premium of £1m, as an individual classic car with a premium of perhaps only £100.
We also underwrite significant, and growing, household and personal lines accounts – and even run our own motor breakdown insurance operation.
Ultimately, Equity Red Star is about people – over 700 focused, experienced and commercially-aware people, working across specialist disciplines. Individually, our people are expert in their own field. Collectively, they are a unique team unlike any other in the motor and personal lines market.
The majority of our underwriting is conducted in Brentwood, Essex, although we offer a small team in the City of London Market business. In addition, we have a number of regional managers throughout the country.
The claims operations centre is located in Swansea, with specialist personal injury teams in Brentwood and Colchester.
