History
Equity Motor Policies began life as a Lloyd’s syndicate in 1946. Over the years, the business evolved into Equity Red Star, becoming one of the top six motor insurers in the UK, and the largest personal lines syndicate at Lloyd’s.
Since 1946, we have been listening to and responding to the needs of brokers. We have developed our core principles of underwriting excellence, technical expertise, claims management and service delivery. These have created solid and lasting foundations for us to work in partnership with brokers in developing business.
We are proud to look back at 60 years of delivering quality insurance and we are working hard to ensure we continue building on our heritage.
